Blaydon Exotics are one of the largest suppliers of tropical and cold water fish and reptiles in the north east.
With over 2000 square feet of retail space you can spend hours with us looking through our exstensive range of both live stock and dry goods.
We pride ourselves on our second to none customer service and endevour to be the best aquatic and reptile shop in the north east!
At the time of writing this we are very proud to be able to say that we, Blaydon Exotics have currently just came second place on a voting poll for the best aquatic shop in the north east. these votes have came from aquatic forum members only so it says alot and means alot to us hear at Blaydon, so i would just like to say a huge thank you to all that voted for us!!!

Boarding
Are you going on holiday or working away? Maybe you're moving house or are without electric for a period of time? Whatever the reason we offer boarding for all your reptiles. From only £2.50 per day, we have complete set ups ready in a quiet room away from the shop floor to house your beloved pet, stress free.
Water Tests
Whether you have coldwater, tropical or marine tanks, we can offer free water testing in store by our trained staff. Water tests can be an important part of diagnosing problems within your tank, used as part of your routine tank maintenance or be carried out prior to adding new fish to ensure their health and wellbeing. There's no need to ring in advance, just call into the store with a sample of your water and the test only takes a few minutes to carry out. From this, we can advise the best course of action for your individual set up. We also sell test kits in store.
Parties
Whether you have reptile crazy kids, fancy something unusual for a birthday party or want something fun and educational, we can offer parties to suit all age ranges! From as little as £75, we come to your event with a range of our friendliest snakes, lizards and tortoises!
Nail Clipping and Probing
Our trained staff offer probing for your snake whether you are looking to breed, cohabit or are just unsure! We can also sex a large range of other reptiles, as well as offering nail clipping services for the likes of bearded dragons. Simply give us a call or pop into store for more information on this, or any of our other services.
Care Sheets
We will try our best to answer any questions you have regarding the care of your lizard, snake, amphibian, arachnid or Chelonia. We can help with the likes of set up information, feeding, breeding and handling. Excellent service
We went to this reptile store to buy a Bearded dragon and the full set up to go with it we were, greeted by the owners and handed over to a member of staff who took care of us very well, we were shown the beared dragons and made our choice from then on we were told how look after him, and how what to feed him, we then choose the vivarium and we were shown how to set it which plug goes where and everything we needed to know the member of staff went out of his way to enusre we were happy with the information a we were given and that we understood how to set it up at home even as to when lights etc need to be turned on and off we came away with a huge bundle of items and live food we could not believe how much stuff we got in our bundle it was so worth the money and if you get stuck with anything once home i was told to ring in or if its out of hours to use facebook to contact them if help was needed, i would reccomend this shop very helpfull staff who knows everything there is to know about the reptiles etc thank you for helping us choose our first reptile and thank you again for outstanding customer service
