From recommendation from friends my family and I thought we would try out the Blue Hayes for my partners 50th.We were plesently surprised by the variety of choice and reasonable prices. I remember having the beef because my yorkshire was so big and being my favourite,I had extra roast potatoes! My husband had the steak, both of which were cooked to perfection! The staff were welcoming and polite, and they had even gone to that extra bit of trouble to add balloons and decorations to the table. After our meal, it was such a lovely day we took advantage of their garden and sat outside in the sunshine before leaving, having booked for the next sunday!I would definately recommend this place. Good food, good prices, welcoming staff and a pleasent atmosphere.

Having been there twice at LUNCH TIME, our last visit, on the 14th October 2008, will be exactly that!!!The menu was not particularly to our liking but we ordered a starter and main course each (4 people). Also ordered 4 drinks and one, a lager was fermenting again and, the dustbin I am, I couldn't even drink it!!The soup my wife had, was she said, thin and powdery and unlike her, she left half a bowl. My garlic bread which accompanied the terrine, would have done a tiler proud!!It was rock hard.My wifes red snapper fillet was very dry she said and again she left half, the others had no complaints, other than one after we had left, no gravy on his pork!!!!The pensioners special, which is what we had, had risen in price by £1 over 2 months????.Our previous visits and those of friends we had recommended, had all been very successful but this was AWFUL.Sorry to say, we shall not be going back there
