About Me

Rosalie Segal graduated with first class honours in Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture from Westminster University and was awarded the Nutri Centre Prize for ‘best overall performance' for the last two years consecutively of her degree course.

Rosalie is passionate about Chinese Medicine and gets great satisfaction from its versatility and effectiveness in helping her patients improve their health and well-being.She has a special interest in Womans' Health including pregnancy, infertility and gynecological issues and has completed extensive post-graduate training in this field including an obstetrics and gynaecology diploma with Dr Trevor Wing.

Part of Rosalie's extensive continuing professional development program includes travelling yearly to Ireland to study with American Acupuncturist Henry McCann, (one of the leading Master Tung Acupuncturists). She has also undertaken the foundation and advanced Master Tung Acupuncture course over two years with Susan Johnson (another renowned Tung Acupuncturist) when she came over from America. Rosalie uses this style of Acupuncture extensively in her practise as it is so effective for pain relief, musculo-skeletal complaints, fertility and many chronic conditions.

Smoking cessation:Rosalie is a member of the National Smoking Cessation Institute and helps people stop or reduce smoking through a combination of ear and body Acupuncture.

Tuina massage:

Rosalie has taken additional Tuina courses at Westminster University with Rosey Grandage (internal and external conditions) and finds patients love the hands-on approach it brings to the treatment.

Alexander Technique:

Rosalie completed a three year full-time teacher-training course in Alexander Technique at the Constructive Teaching Centre in Holland Park, graduating in 1994 and is a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (MSTAT). Due to her past experience as a professional musician, she specialises in working with musicians and performing artists. However, she delights in helping anyone who needs to use their body better and improve their performance in their daily lives. Alongside running a successful private practice, Rosalie has many years experience running adult education introductory classes, as well as giving private workshops and talks to organisations as diverse as the Association of Reflexologists and the Association of Woman Surgeons.

Alexander Technique for Pregnancy and Birth:

Rosalie has been on Ilana Machover's 5 day intensive course on the application of Alexander Technique to pregnancy and childbirth and finds Alexander Technique invaluable in helping woman manage their changing body shape and posture throughout pregnancy. She also coaches them in how to apply the technique with their partner in childbirth and utilize it in the post-natal period.
