We at Maxwell Racing Developments aim in providing you with a service you can trust and rely upon.

John Maxwell (propreitor), has been in the business, working with both road cars and stock cars for over 30 years, first being introduced to engines at the young age of just 11 years.

John's garage, Bow Street Garage, is based in Buckhaven, Fife and has established itself over the last 25 years. With John's interest in stock car racing, he soon became involved in building, repairing and diagnosing problems with engines in stock car racing, and has since then gone on to develop competitive and reliable race engines for all forms of motosport, including, hill climbing, rallying, sprint cars and circuit cars.

Working with classic cars all his life led to the business becoming a professional and trusted resource for classic car engine rebuilds and repairs, particularly among car enthusiasts who have restored there pride and joy over the years but couldn't quite get the engine running quite how it should.

MRD and Bow Street Garage offers a wide range of services to our customers, including a high performance rolling road, capable of speeds of up to 150 mph.

Maxwell Racing Developments have recently assembled a dyno car. The car is available and easily adapted to run the different types of engines on the rolling road

John also specialises in the modifying and reconditioning of carburettors and distributors.

We are proud to announce 3j driveline whom we began dealing with last year (2013) are now to have their products (3js original or 'NXG' English LSD's, Gear Kits and Half Shafts) included in Spedeworths 2014 rule book.

MRD are stockists of new and used parts and have a massive array of spares on hand, ensuring that they will always be able to supply you with the parts you need when you need them.
