This is one of the few restaurants in the area that has been in business for over 25 years. The food is constantly good and there are no hidden extras added to the bill. It is one of very few restaurants that offer four vegetables within the price of the meal. The food is served at the table rather than plated so one can choose what one likes to eat. The staff are attentive and being family owned, the owner is on the premises most of the time. This is a restaurant I would recommend and the midweek menu is excellent value. The building is listed and has a cosy feel to it.

Although the Bow Window lost much of its "olde-worlde" atmosphere when the changes in decor were made last year, it has nevertheless managed to keep its reputation for providing excellent food. Certainly not the cheapest restaurant for miles around but definitely the best by far
