Where It All Began...
It was February 1998 and Bristol Martial Arts Academy Founder & Chief Instructor Chris Beaumont took the plunge and started training in martial arts. The 'bug' that grasps so many people got hold and he was soon training four times a week. This soon turned into a passion that would become his full time job for the rest of his life...
Inspired by the energy, passion and commitment of his fellow students, he broke away from a 'normal job' and founded Bristol Martial Arts Academy shortly after achieving his first black belt in August 2001. Our award winning martial arts training programmes have provided a strong base to allow the academy to grow into a community strong hold. Our classes first started in school gyms and church halls across Bristol.
