About Us

Nestled at the foot of Mount Caburn are a group of eight flint and brick self-contained cottages, ranging from 1-3 bedrooms. They are close to the historic town of Lewes and within easy reach of Glyndebourne.

Caburn Cottages are a group of eight newly built holiday cottages. They are situated by the South Downs under Mount Caburn. They are all well equipped and comprise between one and three bedrooms, with a kitchen/lounge and a bathroom. Each kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge (with freezer compartment), toaster, kettle and colour TV. Each bathroom has a wc and power shower over the bath. Bed linen and towels are included.

We were awarded 1st Prize in the Sussex Heritage Awards 2001 in the Industrial and Commercial category for an outstanding development using traditional skills within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

ACTIVITIES

Local shops: In Glynde village there is a very good local shop with a post office (approx. 1 mile). The nearest supermarkets are Waitrose and Tesco in Lewes (approx. 2 miles).

Nearest station: Glynde has its own station which is on the Eastbourne to Brighton line. Trains to London are frequent from Lewes and the journey takes about 1 hr 10 mins.
