Our Workshop:

The workshop is fully computerized from logging customer and unit details to ordering spares from manufacturers if we do not have them in stock. We also have Broadband Internet, which enables us to keep in contact with our customers, trade customers and manufacturers at their convenience.

About:

Central Service (Wickford) Ltd is a relatively new company, we have been repairing electronic products since 2002.
However, in this short space of time we have achieved a very good working relationship with all the major manufacturers, insurance companies as well as local and national retailers.
Recently with the advancements in LCD and Plasma technology we have undergone extensive alterations, these include retraining our workshop and field staff in transportation and repair techniques, building two costume work rooms, buying new test equipment and solder stations a new PC network to enable us to track, update and call up job details at the touch of a button.
We have achieved ASC (Authorized Service Centre), RSC (Regional Service Centre) and PSC (Premier Service Centre) for all the large manufacturers, these include Aiwa, Bang and Olufsen, Hitachi, JVC, Loewe, Metz, Panasonic, Philips, Sanyo, Samsung, Sharp, Sony and Toshiba to name a few.
We have recently been selected as a Level 1 service centre for Domestic and General Insurance.
Our workshop is situated in Wickford where we have a reception area, so units can be brought direct to us for repair or service.
We also have a fleet of vehicles from Estate cars to large vans, this means that should your unit require workshop attention we can uplift it to our workshop.

Our field support engineers carry common parts so most units can be repaired in the home but due to specialised equipment being needed for some units, they may have to be brought to our workshop for repair, however unlike most of our competitors we do offer a free loan set whilst your unit is away for repair. We currently hold a large stock of loan units including Freeview boxes, 14" to 32" CRT TV's, LCD and Plasma TV's, Projection TV's, DVD players, Audio units and VCR's. These are subject to stock availability.
In our workshop we have the latest technology to assist in repairing modern day units, we are fully equipped to service SMD (Surface Mount Device, BGA (Ball Grid Array) and ESD (Electro Static Device) units.
We are one of the few service companies in the UK equipped with a Pace IR3000 infra-red solder station and as well as the Pace hot air BGA solder station

Authorised Sky Repair Centre:

We are also an authorized Sky Plasma, LCD, CRT Television and Home Cinema Repair Centre, able to repair Sky products such as PDS4250, SPDP4202, SLCD2702, SDVD0002 and HTS3200 units.
