About us
Chichester Marine Training and Portsmouth Marine Training are working in partnership to provide you with a high quality service at the best possible price. Our staff are enthusiastic because we love what we do, being out on the water and guiding others to enjoy being on the water. It's exhilarating at times, it's peaceful at times, but we'll teach you how to be safe all of the time.
Chichester Marine Training is a RYA Training Centre based at Chichester Marina in the beautifully scenic Chichester harbour in West Sussex. We offer competitively priced RYA shorebased courses in our spacious classroom, and RYA online courses. In addition we offer own boat tuition. Chichester's excellent shore side facilities are free to use, including toilets and showers and parking. There is also a popular café on site. We also offer classroom/meeting room hire.
Portsmouth Marine Training is based at Southsea Marina in Langstone Harbour, perfectly placed between Portsmouth and Chichester Harbours with the Solent right on our doorstep. We are able to offer very competitive prices on RYA practical courses using our well appointed school boats, and own boat tuition. We also use Southsea Marina's excellent shore side facilities which includes a free and secure car park, refurbished toilets / showers and onsite café.
Our superb locations combined with the quality of our boats and the dedication of our staff, means there really is only one place to come for all of your training needs.
We offer the whole range of RYA courses, designed for every type of boat and every level of experience. If you are interested in speed then the fast paced RYA Powerboat Courses or Personal Watercraft (Jet Ski) Courses could be for you. For comfort, luxury and arriving in style, take a look at our RYA Motor Cruising Courses. If you prefer to take your time and enjoy the journey try our RYA Sail Cruising Courses. For people who like to understand the theory behind boating try one of our RYA Shorebased Courses.

Powerboat Courses
Our 6.5m RIB is capable of speeds over 40mph and is the perfect vessel for powerboat courses from beginner to instructor level.
