Cleveland Circuits was established in 1971 and has become an acknowledged leader in PCB Manufacture, PCB Assembly and PCB Design specialising in prototype, low to medium and high volume printed circuit board manufacture and assembly. In fact, we are one of the very few UK companies who both manufacture and assemble printed circuit boards in house - "A Single Source Solution". This in-house dual service at our base in Cleveland ensures total production and quality control, providing reliable product and delivery.

Bare PCB Manufacturing

Our in-house engineering department boasts four full-time CAM engineers who have access to the latest CAD/CAM software - AutoCAD for design and Gerbtool for CAM. The CAM software is capable of accepting Gerber, RS274X, Barco DPF, DXF, HPGL and NC drill and route files. To complement this front-end facility we have our own hi-tech photographic studio with capabilities to plot all internal film requirements. We use the latest Gerber Crescent and Mivatech Xenon plotters along with Fuji film processors. PCB Population

Conventional low volume assembly is undertaken using Mascot light-guided placement machines, which use eye-safe lasers to indicate the position and orientation of the component to be placed. Automated component selection ensures efficient production of even small volume assembly runs. Higher volume requirements are catered for using automated placement carried out on 80-station Universal Axial Combi machines capable of up to 15,000 placements per hour. Cleveland Circuits also provides an in-house surface mount assembly service using high-speed Juki automated placement machines capable of placing 4,000 components per hour, including BGA, TSOP and QFP devices.
