Entrance Examinations (11+) Most examinations are in October / November / December in yr6 or in the following January. It is recommended that you go to the school's open days and apply in July yr 5 onwards. Watch for details in the local press. Tutoring specifically for 11+ ideally should not start before yr5 for various reasons :- Much of the relevant exemplar material covers work that will not be covered until yr5 in school. There is only a limited amount of material available and pupils may become stale and bored. Ideally pupils should have attained level 4 in yr4 Maths and English before commencing tuition as level 6 work could be tested! 11+ tutoring is basically fine tuning. Pacing and practice are very important. Tutors continually assess and report and consequently our pass rate is very high. Science Often science in schools in the early years is taught as one subject. However by yr9 most schools teach the 3 sciences separately using specialist physics, chemistry and biology te
Established in 1992. Nearly half our enquiries are through personal recommendations. "We had tried to help our son without success and have been delighted that a tutor has been able to get him to work without fuss" "We have no hesitation in recommending your services to friends" "Our daughter's GCSE grade B from a grade D mock exam was due to the excellent one to one tutoring." "Our boy's school recommended you as having helped many pupils make good progress"

We decided to use Cloisters as our daughter who always did well up until the last 18 months was starting to struggle at our local junior school due to inconsistant standards of teaching and oversized classes. The difference in our child particularly over the last six months has been amazing. The environment of the one to one tuition, naturally rebuilt her confidence to learn and then progressed her at a rate not achieveable in a large class environment. I cannot recommend highly enough the standards, service and quality of the support my daughter has been given over the last 18 months. Many thanks.
