CMD Group are a team of consultant Naval Architects, Marine Engineers and Marine Draughtsmen, with over 50 years experience of ship new-builds and complex ship conversion projects.

CMD Group provide naval architecture and marine technical design services to ship and boat owners, builders and repairers, as well as to other Naval Architecture consultancies.

CMD Group are based in the historic city of Chester in the north-west of England and can travel world-wide.

Naval Architecture:

CMD Group undertake all Naval architecture and ship design tasks, whether for feasibility studies, concept design or detailed design phases for both new-build and ship conversions.

The naval architectural tasks we offer include: hull design, intact and damage stability, resistance & propulsion, longitudinal strength, inclining experiments and general arrangement design.

Ship Structural Design:

CMD Group have extensive structural design experience. CMD Group can undertake structural design from 1st principles or by the Rule-based approach. CMD Group's experienced marine draughtsmen provide quality structural and hull scantling plans and drawings.
