The colchester arts centre is a must visit place for the young and not so young of colchester. They have lots of entertainment on offer to suit many different tastes. There is a bar serving alcohol but the staff always check ages and the younger visitors get their hands stamped to show thy can not buy anything but soft drinks at the bar. I saw capdown there a few years back and they were great. Local bands and up and coming artists appear at this venue regularly. If you want to know whats on ,'you can sign up for the news letter and get it sent to your door. Its not just a music venue, check it out, there is always lots on.

I can't believe this doesn't have a page already, it's like the best place to go in colchester! its hidden away in the town centre behind some shops and up pot hill (it's called that because young scallywags often smoke herbal remedies in the area). the arts centre is an old church which is so cool because when bands play there they have a really amazing venue with great acoustics too. they get loads of big name bands - so tickets can sometimes be expensive but it depends who is playing - and they also have comedy stand up and stuff like that. it's a brilliant venue and i hope it goes on for years and years because there is nothing else like it.
