Set-up in 2008 the company has extensive experience in the energy assessment sector and can offer advise as to the requirements of the legislation governing EPCs. EPCs are required on the sale, lease and construction of dwellings and commercial properties. Coles Knapp has staff qualified to provide EPCs on Domestic Properties and Level 3 and 4 Commercial Properties (which will cover virtually all UK commercial buildings). Coles Knapp are also accredited to produce DECs, which are required for all buildings larger than 1000 m2 and occupied by either a Public Authority or an Institution providing a public service which is visited by the public. They must be displayed prominently and renewed annually.
