Did not complete the Job

I contacted Dan concerning a mouse infestation at a house that I rent. He offered me two options £80 to get rid of the infestation or £220 the above plus stopping the holes and a years guarantee. I took the latter. He insisted on payment upfront and sent me an invoice. He attended 5 times in 3 months and one of these was the free survey this despite my understanding that he would attend on a regular basis until the infestation was cleared. He failed to attend twice giving no notice, he stated that this was once because he was ill and once because his father was ill. Repeated requests for a receipt, produced no result despite his saying that he would produce one. When my tenant requested that he notify her if he was not going to attend an arranged appointment, she said that he was rude to her and the she did not want him coming back. I was therefore obliged to get another firm in to finish the job. As the job was not completed I asked for a refund of £140 even though there was still a mouse infestation and the holes had not been stopped. He refused any money back saying that a visit was £60 and I had had a special price.
