The initial diagnostic scan and the first hour of diagnosis is £50.00 + VAT, any additional diagnosis time will be charged at £45.00 + VAT per hour. We always ask your authority for any additional work required.

A simple ‘read and erase' of Diagnostic Trouble Codes will cost just £20.00 + VAT.

A description of the annual MOT requirement...

Our MOT's are carried out offsite to ensure your peace of mind. We feel this retains the impartiality of the test – we wouldn't want you to think that we have failed something on a test just so that we could fix it ourselves.

An MOT costs £50.00 and will be listed in two parts on your invoice, as required by HMRC (Revenue and Customs). The MOT itself is £40.00 and the ‘presentation fee' is £8.33. Inclusive of VAT, this totals £50.00. If you choose to pay via the VAT Free Scheme on base (to be eligible, your total bill comes to £100.00 incl. VAT), £48.33 is all you would pay.

An MOT is valid for 12 months and should any repairs need to be carried out to pass the test, you have 10 business days to do so.

If your vehicle is less than three years old, you would need an SVA test carried out on your vehicle. It is much the same as an MOT, but requires a special stamp for your certificate. Again this test is carried out offsite, as only a select few vehicle repair shops are authorised to carry out these tests.

Once an SVA is carried out, your vehicle will not need to be tested again until it is three years old. By this time, an MOT test would be appropriate and will need to be carried out every 12 months.

If your vehicle is coming into the country from overseas, you will need a light conversion to bring the vehicle to UK specification. What each vehicle needs is different, depending on the make and model as well as where it has been shipped from.
