What a 'white' catalogue!

Service

Quality

Value

I regularly receive your mail order catalogue but never ceased to be amazed at the lack of diversity in your models. The February edition has one black man wearing a jumper on page 39 - and that's it. No one else, no mixed race, no people of Asian heritage, no black women. Do none of these groups wear your clothes? I am sure if you visited your shops you would not see just white customers. Time to reflect Britain in the twenty first century (and the twentieth!)

WHY NO 32 INCH LEG?

Service

Quality

Value

We shop a lot at Cotton Traders and really like the clothes. However, with the exception of some jeans, your trousers do not come in 32 inch leg. Why is this? It is very unfortunate because my husband is a 32 in leg & he is unable to find suitable trousers. The 31 inch leg is too short & the 33 inch leg is too long! Why can't you do 32 inch leg in all your mens' trousers & jeans? By the way, we would like to compliment the wonderful staff at the Cotton Traders Store at Festival Park Shopping, Ebbw Vale, Wales. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We wouldn't go anywhere else for Cotton Traders products. It is a pleasure to shop at the Festival Park outlet. A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO THEM FOR ALL THE GREAT SERVICE THEY GIVE.

Large sizes

Service

I love your clothes and buy your jeans and trousers and, being a large lady, I find them a great fit. My complaint is that I would buy loads of your tops, shirts, jackets, etc but even buying a size 26 they are so small compared to other companies. I bought to tops to go with my jeans which were tagged as size 26 and I couldnt even get them on. Come on, Cotton Traders, you are loosing out on custom if you can't provide the proper sizing. You are also losing out on custom if you don't extend your ladies sizes. If your jeans fit well then why do your tops skimp and are sooo small.

Better Get Your Order 100 % Right First Time

Ordered a pair of shoes, online, for my wife. The order confirmation email advised I'd managed to order the wrong size. I range Cotton Traders Customers Service immediately and advised them. I was told call back in one hour as they wouldn't be able to access the details on their system for the first hour. I rang back after about 45 minutes and was told nothing could be done the change the order and they would not be cancelling it. Also, quite unlawfully, I can't have a refund; I have to refuse the order and hope they'll give me my money back. First and last time I will ever deal with them.

No large shoes for ladies

Service

Quality

Value

Once again you only have two pairs of shoes size 9 for ladies, so, so, disappointing and the same two pairs advertised in your last brochure. Can you please tell me why everyone seems opposed to supplying larger shoes for women!!!! Why ? Please don't say the usual thing, we have no call for them, because isn't true I know of many ladies who take a size 9 . I would like to buy the nice femmine shoes shown in your brochure , but I am not given a chance instead I get a choice of shoes that resemble builders boots!!!!!!!! And as wide as boats. Please start stocking shoes in size 9 D/ E fitting. I look forward reply,

large shoe availability

My wife and I are regular customers for Cotton Traders clothing of all types. I am delighted that the men's suede slip-on shoes are available in 13, wide fit AQ 1458 TAD. I have today ordered three pairs. I already have about five pairs, and am delighted with them. You keep changing the colours available, so I keep looking. But this is the only style that you do in this size. As you list lots of really big shirts, trousers etc, please try to supply sandals and other shoes in this size. I am sure there are many big men that would like 13 EE shoes. In fact the (ever helpful) ladies at your High Legh Garden Centre branch say that they have been asked many times for larger sizes.

Not able to cancel order before it was despatched

Service

I placed an order for 4 items, not noticing that 1 item was not due in stock for 7 days. I telephoned after a week had passed and was told that the order had not been shipped because 1 item was still not available. I did not cancel at that time because I was told it would be in at the weekend and then shipped straight out to me. I phoned again on the Tuesday to cancel the order as I had no communication from Cotton Traders. I was told I could not cancel the order as they had no communication with their warehouse it being an automated system, and the order was currently being picked & packed - not despatched - in the process of being picked & packed. I asked to be put through to a supervisor but was told he/she will tell you the same. I said " so the only way to get my money back is to return the items to you" the answer was "Yes if you`re not satisfied" So I will not be shopping with Cotton Traders ever again as I find their attitude toward customer service totally lacking. They may as well deal with everything on an automated service - and stop wasting money on people.

Hi I bought a pair of light seude boots at the beginning of the year ready for winter. The write up for these boots was a smart pair of easy i repeat easy to put on boots .I am referring to the pull on tan suede short boots .They were horrendous to put on the opening of the boot is not big enough to accomodate a full foot with no side give & because they are sheepskin lined making it more difficult .I tried everyhting to pulling & pushing even resorted to a plastic bag to hope my foot would slide in .So disappointed my money was wasted on a pair of boots i cant wear .I havnt got money to burn so a no good purchase .However the same boot advertised now has easier side inlets to make boots easy to put on so its obvious people had been complaining as i did for them to alter the new style.I have spent over the years lots of money at cotton traders but very disappointed with what i had hoped for boots for Winter !

6 Weeks awaiting for a blazer and still no delivery

Service

I ordered a blazer 6 weeks ago and it still has not been delivered. I called on 22nd August and was told it would be despatched within the next 24 to 48 hours. A week later I still have not received it and called again. I have now been told they don't know when it is going to be despatched. Has Cotton Traders got into financial difficulty ? Should I be asking for a refund and heading for the hills? Don't know whether I will be using Cotton Traders

Delivery thrown over the side gates to my home

Service

Quality

Dear Sirs, Last Wednesday I returned home from Durham (where I attended the funeral of my Sister) to Surbiton to find my order "delivered" over the side gate to my home. The delivery person left me a note to this effect. Rain had poured down on this package but that would not appear to have bothered the delivery person. I would like to object in the strongest terms to their method of delivery and the blase attitude of your delivery company. It does you no favours to have companies who appear to treat your customers with such apparent contempt. I find it very difficult to understand the thinking and attitude of such persons. Perhaps you will kindly remonstrate with the delivery company and tell them of my disgust. Gloria C. Moody ( Mrs.) 124, Ellerton Road, Surbiton, Surrey. KT6 7TZ.
