Made the mistake of using this company. Unfortunately the ownership moved to Dave Owens or Dave Rene at some point (depending what you find on the internet(. As mentioned by others, takes your money and does a poor job or no job. Appears all chatty and friendly, but when he's not getting his own way, starts turning nasty. Found out the owner has a criminal record, so save yourself the time, effort and headache and look elsewhere. Nothing but lies and poor workmanship.

Avoid this rip off company . Excuse after excuse from Dave. Extension completed with a huge deposit at the start of the build , then weekly payments expected, otherwise they will stop work. Foreman of the build ( a separate company hired by the owner of CPM, who eventually quit , whilst being owed £4000) constantly hounded to keep costs down. Piles of rubbish in the garden ( they don’t use skips) . Quoted £1000 extra for under kitchen cupboard lighting that cost £200 to install when we found someone else. Out of pocket for a shoddy ill fitting roof , with incorrect tiles for the roof pitch. Building plans completely ignored by roofer . Then roof leaked causing damage , mould in the new extension. Waited almost 2yrs for new roof ( COVID , lock down , no roofer , no tiles , supply issues etc ) Ended up sorting out selves ( £4500 out of pocket ) . And I know that we were not the only ones having problems. Letter of complaint ignored .

If I could give zero stars then I would! Please save yourself a lot of mental and physical stress and financial hardship by AVOIDING this shambles of a company. They show no respect for you, your project or your property and insist on you paying them weekly in advance for work that they will not then complete. I could write a book for the amount of excuses I was given during the time that they were on my loft conversion project about why they couldn't do work, purchase material or even come to site (when they actually came to site that is!). They were eventually removed from my project as it became clear that they were incapable and unwilling to finish or adhere to our agreed contract. A meaningless piece of paper to them it seems! I sent a 15 page letter cataloguing the extent of the incomplete works, huge piles of waste they left as well as highlighting the repairs needed to other parts of the house due to water damage CPM caused by not protecting my house from the rain sufficiently. An offer of a refund was made by CPM in September 2020 which I accepted. 1 year later as I write this review this empty gesture is still to be fulfilled and I am a five figure sum out of pocket (the remaining works cost nearly double the refund amount I requested!) with absolutely no sign of my money actually being returned to me. I've been robbed, to put it bluntly! I was then left to find alternative local tradesman to help complete my work, causing even more expense, whilst in a race to get my property watertight before Winter 2020 hit hard. I know for a fact that I am not the first person to be left significantly out of pocket by this company and its management. I wont be the last it seems either. CPM's Companies House record is something that should be of great concern to anyone even considering this company (do a bit of simple digging and you'll discover the myriad of phoenix companies with similar names before this current version). Please please PLEASE do not even consider this company for a project you may have lined up. Look elsewhere, I implore you! If a good builder is booked up for months then it will be for a very good reason and they will be worth waiting for! I've learnt this the hard way so all I can do now is try and help prevent other people from making the same mistakes that I have. The amount of work that I needed redoing was ridiculous. It was difficult to find anything straight and level and I've now been left with an end product which creaks and squeaks like an old ship as the timber structure was installed so badly.
