A beautiful country stay in a wonderful enchanted area. A* location. Amazing breakfast, tranquil setting & a superb host. Alex will guide and full-fill you with any information required on Dartmoor and its outstanding history and beauty. As well as referring to the many books in his library over a glass of wine. The rooms are comfortable and have the character of a typical country retreat. A perfect stay that i will continue to always look forward to at any opportunity. Thank you

Stayed for one night (wish could have been longer) for a short break. Lovely comfortable rooms and plenty of space to relax without feeling as though you are intruding on someone else' home. Alex certainly goes out of his way to give you (plus your dog and horse if required) a warm welcome, and having hunted locally for many years knows the area very well. He was able to provide great walking recommendations (where there are no sheep), arrange dinner bookings and provide 2 well behaved, forward going horses (with brakes)for us to ride. The cooked breakfast is not to be missed either, it certainly was a treat after an early morning ride! Thank you Alex and Adele for making us feel so welcome, we will certainly be back in the summer X
