About us
Hi I'm Dave Bold. I'm a guitarist and guitar tutor based here in Beckenham, South London, about 20 minutes from central London I've been playing the guitar and other fretted instruments for around 40 years now! Over that time I've got familiar with a wide range of styles, from rock and pop to jazz and RnB, from folk to funk.
I play a range of different musical styles in a variety of settings from solo guitar to duos, trios, right up to nine piece bands. I've worked with lots of different artists and musicians, mostly not famous (though there were a few household names..) but great musicians all the same. Teaching
Ever wanted to learn to play the coolest instrument in the world? Want to improve, or add new aspects to your playing? I'm an experienced, former Sevenoaks School peripatetic electric guitar tutor, CRB checked, with a BMus (Hons) degree, MU and RGT registered, and holding a strong belief belief that learning an instrument has to be fun. Careers Guidance
I also worked at the BRIT School for some 13 years (1991 - 2004) as the Careers and Work Based Learning Adviser. So if you need help on what direction you are planning to go music-wise I'm happy to help, though a careers consultation may be better as a separate session! Trying to sort out questions on careers while teaching guitar licks and tunes is a tricky business; though thinking clearly through your plans can add a lot of focus to your goals and motivation, so is definitely a worthwhile process to go through.

Great guitar teacher
I recently started learning to play the guitar as a complete beginner and have found that Dave is an extremely patient, encouraging and enthusiastic teacher. He explains everything very clearly and simply for me which is just what I need!

A real musician

Great Player
Dave is one of the finest guitarists in the south london circuit. He play with feeling, intuition and great artistry. He also knows what he's doing and can explain it incredibly simply. Good skills all round.
