Didsbury Theatre School is a vibrant, energetic environment where children gain confidence as well as developing their creative skills and self discipline. It's also a whole lot of fun! We offer classes in all aspects of the performing arts world, including ballet, tap, classical and modern jazz, contemporary, hip hop, drama, musical theatre, acting skills, script reading and singing. All classes are taken to examination level (from beginners to professional grades) and children gain rewards on a regular basis. A good proportion of our students go on to study professionally and many Didsbury Theatre School pupils are now teaching and performing across the world. We accept children from age 2 1/2 to 18 years. Classes are held on weekday evenings and all day Saturdays during school term times. Our Saturday school offers classes in a social atmosphere where pupils and parents can enjoy in-house refreshments from our coffee shop.

Specialist Services

Live performances in world-renowned venues give our students invaluable life experiences. We hold school shows twice yearly in local Manchester theatres and have taken part in performances at many prestigious venues including The Royal Albert Hall, Sadler's Wells and Her Majesty's Theatre in London and even as far afield as Disneyland Paris! Not forgetting, of course, the famous Didsbury festival.
