About Me

I am a fully qualified English Secondary School Teacher with 6 years of experience, specialising in teaching KS3 and GCSE students in an ‘Outstanding' school in Leeds. I have recently moved back into the area after spending the last 7 years living the city life with my husband and our two young children.

I am extremely passionate about my subject, and I convey this through innovative, challenging lessons that will keep students interested and motivated. I believe the key to engaging all students is to get to know their likes and dislikes, and plan accordingly (meaning I probably spend as long planning my sessions as I do teaching them!)

I am dedicated to helping children achieve their absolute potential and the look on a student's face when they ‘get it' is why I continue to do what I do. I love creating sessions that will challenge students, and whilst I can't say I ‘love' marking, I have led whole school training sessions on effective marking and I certainly love the effects that effective marking has on a student's progress. My sessions will be a combination of all of these factors – individual planning, interesting sessions and effective marking – that will ultimately result in your child's progress.
