What are Thread Veins?
Thread veins or spider veins are fine, dilated veins lying just beneath the surface of the skin. They are not dangerous but can be unsightly. Treatment & Aftercare
Microsclerotherapy causes minimal discomfort. Each treatment takes 30-45 minutes. A very fine needle is inserted into the thread veins, the substance injected causes the lining of the veins to swell and stick together so that no blood can flow through them, the swelling will destroy the vein over several weeks, making it much less noticeable or even invisible. There is minimal downtime following this treatment, you will be encouraged to take a walk straight away and can drive home from the appointment. Following the treatment compression stockings must be worn for a short time to ensure the veins remain closed and subsequently disappear.
