About Us...

Aquastar was founded over 20 years ago by trained chef Ian Turner following a holiday visiting family in Canada.

Across the Atlantic, Ian had discovered the comfort of “floatation” sleeping as he slept on a waterbed in his relatives’ home. So impressed was he with the comfort of their watermattress, he packed one in his suitcase and brought it home.

Back home in Merseyside, Ian continued his passion for water-based sleep systems. Acquiring a tiny factory of just 800 square feet on the Wirral, he began, as a one-man-band, to produce his own bespoke waterbeds.

In 2008, Aquastar further revolutionised the waterbed industry by introducing the Mesamoll II (Supasoft Vinyl tm) mattress to the UK. More supple than any of its forerunners, Mesamoll II (Supasoft Vinyl tm) is a superior, super soft water mattress that lasts longer and is eco-friendly in its manufacturing process.

It is the Rolls Royce of waterbed mattresses and that superior quality is the key to why Ian, and Aquastar, stand out as a manufacturer.
