Dresser originally setup its business in the early 1980s & became established as a market leader in standard mouldings, stair components, carvings & columns, during 2009 the business split & a new company formed offering a far wider service from it original routes.

From a well establish site in Rochdale including 52,000 square feet Dresser Mouldings Rochdale Ltd is able to offer a far wider service including bespoke manufacturing service which includes full factory finishes using water based coating systems, this has enable Dresser to not only offer standard moulding, curved profiles, stair parts & Columns but also offer the service to fully finish either by offering component solutions or by coating timber profiles & specialist carvings by lacquering, staining & priming to suit most customer needs.

Future of Dresser Mouldings

It is the belief of Dresser Mouldings directors that our industry has been too ready to lose the people skills created over many generations. At Dresser we firmly believe the people skills we have invested in will provide us with the platform along with our investments made in new production equipment.

At Dresser we have made investments into specialist machinery while retaining the skills needed to ensure the technology invested in allows us to strengthen our core architectural & finishing facilities in the future.

Dresser have currently invested resources with local colleges & have an apprenticeship scheme working this is already paying dividends in securing the future skills in Dresser mouldings Rochdale.

History of Dresser Mouldings

Originally Dresser was formed in the early 1980s & was conceived by one of the current directors in his early 20s & wanting to build his first house he searched high & low to buy some specialist period mouldings, unable to find any company in the market able to supply his requirement he decided to start his own company, supplying architectural & specialist curved mouldings. Dresser has come along way from its humble conception in the back streets of Wigan. The company having established its routes & identity started to commend respect within the specialist Architectural market & with Dresser out growing its humble beginnings in Wigan moved to a new purpose build site in Horwich, (Bolton) in the late 1980s. From the new site dresser range of products started to be specified nationwide with Architects, specifies & especially the pub contractors, these were the boom times for Dresser.

During 2009 the Dresser business split & a new company was formed from its present location in Rochdale. The new company recruited a couple of new directors who having successfully run Timbmet's UK manufacturing site embarked on taking on the old business, this was a master stoke as it enabled the business to re-launch with existing ideas but also bring on new skills along with a much larger site to include assembly line facilities, a vacuum coating paint line along with all of the traditional products associated with Dresser Mouldings. It is clear the changes have helped dresser refocus & expand its core business but at the same time make the necessary changes to take dresser forward focusing in on people & technology skills & at the same time offer a much wider service to its core product range.
