About Us

DUA Architecture LLP is an RIBA Registered Chartered Practice.

It was established in 1988 and has three partners: David Underhill, William Lycett and Martin Hammond.

Although DUA Architecture has a very broad portfolio, much of its work has been focussed on housing in the New Forest; hence this web site.

We are a small practice with a deep passion for design.

Being small, (generally five or less) we offer a personal service to all our clients.

Services

It's our policy to constantly explore new technologies to add further speed, quality and service to our clients.

In order to keep ourselves fresh as designers we work on all types of building, but our greatest love is that of the private dwelling.

For us, small is definitely beautiful. We are suspicious of most large buildings. They generally reflect man's propensity to subjugate the human spirit with corporate ego.

Virtually all our work arrives through recommendation.

Our mission concerns itself with light, space, beauty, efficiency, form & quality. We respect yesterday but focus our efforts on tomorrow.

We are always busy, love Apple Macs, brew too much coffee and eat too many cakes.
