I guess Im proof its a good dance school....
I started dancing at the age of 22months old when Miss Claire (principle of ELSD) came to my nursery. I thoroughly enjoyed her lessons and so joined the school when i left nursery, I continued there until i was 16 when i was accepted into Laine Theatre Arts in Surrey. I still go back to teach or help out at the school. This loyalty must mean something, I can honestly say I have not had ANY of the problems the previous reviewer has reported, infact I dont understand how somebody could get that impression of the school. ELSD has been established for many years and has great business management, it must have in order to have run so smoothly for so long. The problems that were reported with billing are confusing as there are many different methods of payment and so racking up a huge bill is unnecessary and avoidable. As for the exam difficulty, I understand that it can be frustrating to stay in the same grade for over a year however this would be the case wherever a child went as there are age limits for each grade set by ISTD and if you start very young waiting to be the right age is inevitable. However not a problem as you can only get better through attending the lessons and practising!! I managed to get to all major grades with extremely good results by the time I was 16- it cant have slowed me down that much! (I have only ever got As in ballet and I have taken every grade) Overall I think East Lancs School of Dancing is a great school with a very caring and family atmosphere to it. All the teachers are very talented and make learning enjoyable whilst also producing the results.

my dance school s amazing! and i highly recommend this to anyone! the teachers are fab and i love the way the school works in my eyes it can not be wronged as i have been attending here since i was 4, surely there doing something right, as my parents love it to.

i love my dance school!
the bad things said about the school are pants! i love my dance school, i do there myself and i have made new friends in students and the teachers aswell, none of my classes are overlapping and i do, do modern, acrobatics,and ballet. I am off at this moment for 2 weeks as it is end of term and holidays for schools, i love the way my school orders in whatever you want being either new leotards/ballet tights/point shoes and it doesnt take ages. It has seperate changing rooms for boys and girls which have a shower toilets benches hooks and the usual necessities it is both hygenic and roomy. All the pupils are well behaved and i moreover like the way if i want (and i do) a private lesson in whatever class it may be i can get one organised as quickly as possible, i have been going to the school since the age of 4 that also includes my sister and my cousin. i could not wish for a friendlier enviroment in which to learn my dancing, the school is just full of opportunities for me and my friends in life! WOO! go east lancs!
