Simply The Best
Eastern Spice continues to set the standard in the Spen Valley area. Great food which caters for everybodies tastes. Takeaway/Delivery or eat in, in the newly refurbished dining area. As the title says, SIMPLY THE BEST.

Truly amazing Indian
Personally, I think treemite has a very different idea of what makes a nice indian than myself. Eastern Spice is one of my all time favourite restaurants because the food is lovely, great value for money and the staff are excellent. I visit this indian on a weekly basis with my friends as compared to the other local indians the food is exquisite and the price is excellent. I go there for many birthdays and other celebrations and the minimalist decor inside makes the place feel clean and makes you want to eat there. 5 star review all round :)

Truly awful Indian cuisine
This is without doubt the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. From the outside, the place looked reasonably inviting so we decided to give it a go. It was a Monday night, so I would never have expected it to be busy and it wasn't – it was empty…never a good sign.I don't particularly like eating in empty restaurants but our welcome was swift so I didn't have the heart to back out. The interior was pretty drab and low quality and didn't fill me with confidence. I was disappointed to find that the small outcrop in the corner of the restaurant which was masquerading as a bar, did not stock any alcoholic beverages. This certainly affected my enjoyment of the meal – as nothing would have been more welcome than a refreshing lager accompaniment.The waiter was attentive (well I would hope so too!) and the food arrived pretty promptly. I can't say a single good thing about the food as it was extremely low quality.The starters were very dry and tasteless and the principal ingredient of my main dish was that horrible artificial purple/red colouring. The whole thing was a disaster.My partner agreed with my assessment that it was one of the worst meals she'd ever paid for.

Worth a visit
Greeted in a friendly manner as we entered here. The decor is good, plain and minimalistic. It is easy to see this location has recently been refurbished, decorated and smartened up.There is a small carpark, but additional on street parking is available too. Service is unhurried, nice and relaxed. The menu covers a good selection of dishes, all at reasonable prices.The food is well prepared, nicely presented and of good quality. Dishes which are not on the menu can be requested, which ensures all tastes can be catered for.This is a small, customer friendly restaurant, offering good food at a reasonable price and is well worth a visit.
