A hidden gem of a traditional indian resturant

The English Raj indian restaurant in Bridgwater is hidden just off the high street. It has been established since the 70's and has a loyal customer base.The staff are very warming and commonly like a chat while you wait which is nice. You are seated quickly and the drink and food is served promptly.The food is consistantly good and offers very good value for money. I recommend the chicken madras :-). You get a good size portion for your money and its so relaxing you never feel rushed to leave its nice to have a few beers before venturing off to some of the nearby pubs.The furnishings are typical traditional indian restaurant but slightly toned down so its not pushed in your face too much. I really recommend this restuarant, mainly for good service and reasonable price!
