Dad final journey
We started to look at funerals for my dad a few months before he passed, and even though we first called into Fergus Court a few months earlier he was still able to find the original paperwork he had gone though with us. We could not have asked for a more friendly firm, fergus himself was always there to answer our questions and boy did we have a lot. It's a family run business who really do go that extra mile to make this painful journey as ease as possible. The way they cared for dad and the attention to detail was second to none. There where no hidden extras the price they gave was the price we paid. They took care off everything which is so nice giving you one less thing to worry over. Even the details such as the flowers were outstanding. They really do take the worry away from you so you can focus to the day in hand. The whole team are outstanding and there just doesn't seem the words to say how truly thankful we are to you all. Keep up the good work.

Dad's Final Goodbye
Fergus Court Funeral Services My Dad passed away 7th October, ’15 and coming from York we (my sister’s and myself) didn’t have much local knowledge, certainly not of Funeral Directors, so can only say how incredibly fortunate we were to have selected Fergus Court to look after all of the funeral arrangements. There was very little for us to worry about, in fact pretty much everything was taken care of and the service he and his team provided was a most professional and caring service. Provided the highest standards of care during our time of need We choose Fergus court because its family run, independently owned funeral directors, he provided us friendly, dignified and caring service. As he is an independent funeral director he was able to offer a personal service only deal with him or a member of his family. Despite being one of the youngest funeral directors in North Yorkshire, his knowledge and expertise helped us at this very difficult time. He helped us plan the funeral the way we wanted despite the interference from the family priest. He helped us plan Dad’s final goodbye to make sure we gave him the send-off he deserved, while keeping to our budget too. He promise to do everything possible to give our Dad the funeral he deserved; and he always there to speak to when we had questions and never made us feel we were wasting his time. Dealing with Fergus court meant we didn’t have to deal with other providers; they took care of everything for us and paid great attention to detail to while still offering a very personal touch at a very difficult time. Paying our last respects, they organised family visits for Dad’s family to come and pay their last respects to dad in a lovely little room at the back of the shop. We just informed him when family could come; a member of staff was always available to meet us. They sorted out donations to our charities in lieu of flowers Our limousine driver Liz took good care of us, she drove very smoothly which from Malton to York is no easy feat!! There was plenty of room for mum and my sister’s and myself…. We were worried having the funeral on a Friday afternoon about traffic, as it’s an extremely busy road. Everything was perfect they had planned everything out perfectly down to the last detail. One of my sister’s was in a wheelchair and this did not phase them, the wheelchair just went in the boot. A long with her leg and crutches so she could walk when we arrived. On the day of the funeral he was there to help and guide us, family and friends, to make sure anything went well. Dad had six of his grandsons carry his coffin, he would have been so proud of them all May we take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your excellent, professional services that you provided throughout our recent bereavement. Your compassion and finite attention to detail were second to none and greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements, flowers and the after service that you provided were of the highest standards, all which helped our family through this emotional time. At times like this, it is heartening to know that someone like yourself can be trusted to provide such an excellent service throughout.
