Certification
Successful candidates receive a certificate showing their qualification as a First Aider in the work place which is valid for three years. It is recommended that a First Aider should attend annual refresher training to maintain their skills and knowledge.
Who should attend?
A person who has been designated or volunteered as a First Aider at work. All employers in the U.K. have a legal obligation to make First Aid provision for their employees.
This course is ideal for the smaller workplace where there are fewer health and safety risks and a nominated person is required to take charge in the event of illness or accident. Personnel with this qualification can also give support to qualified First Aiders in larger organisations where the business operates over several floors or buildings, or shifts are operated.
This course has been designed to provide first aid training for staff caring for children and babies in the absence of their parents or guardians.
This is an OFSTED recognised course and the certificate must be renewed every three years. We advise that all staff should refresh their paediatric basic life support skills at least every year.
Who should attend?
Childminders, nursery nurses, teachers, nannies and staff with a responsibility of caring for children
Certification
A certificate valid for 3 years will be issued on successful completion of the course
Over 270,000 people suffer a Heart Attack every year in the UK. Unfortunately 30% will die before reaching the hospital. Administering CPR to a casualty who has stopped breathing can greatly increase their chance of survival.
The Regulatory Reform Order 2005 requires every workplace to make plans for dealing with a fire or related emergency. This course will provide basic knowledge and understanding of fire, and fire fighting. This course can be further enhanced with the inclusion of practical fire extinguisher training if required.
Who should attend?
All employees should be given regular fire safety training
Certification
A certificate of attendance is issued on completion
