Flow Limiting Valves (FLVs) are well tried valves used in industry, any large building, irrigation and fire deluge/sprinklers to balance flow in distribution piping. By limiting flow to the desire level, irrespective of pressure, they give each demand point the design flow and thus prevent excess flow and ensure that each point gets the same desired service.
With hot water, this also saves energy. When used on showers and basin taps, the Payback may be measured in weeks!
