Read the small print

i approached Focus DC ltd to build me an ecommerce web site, they told me from basically agreeing an idea to building the site and going live it would take about si weeks, wrong! it took nearly 6 months once they had my money which was half up front approx £1500 they took there time pulling other customers in and working on there sites, you cannot do anything about this because they have a clause in the contract to say you cannot claim compensation for them not meeting deadlines also they renewed my contract because i didnt give them 30 days notice to say i wanted to discontinue or move the site they say you have to pay the full hosting fee which is a staggering £300 per year,i contacted other hosting providers they quoted no more that £120 per annum, i had a very bad experince with this company i would not use them nor recommend them, if you do run the contract past your solicitor before signing and also purchase your domain names yourself before going to them instructing FDC not to purchase on your behalf when renewal comes up in writing sending a copy to your solicitor and send recorded mail my names cost £5 each they now want to charge me £175 to transfer
