Well, let's start at the beginning. Being of West Indian background, I knew very little about the mechanics of an Indian wedding (Vinnie is a Punjabi Indian) but having Bhav by our side has been a blessing. I was impressed with the way she sat me down and carefully explained the meanings behind each individual act - from the Baraat right the way through to the last wedding song. Both my wife and I discovered that planning a wedding can be wonderful experience but when both parties are working full-time that dream can very quickly turn into a nightmare if the correct care and attention isn't given. To be honest that was Bhav's forte. Even when we were away on holiday, Bhav had everything under control with all of our suppliers constantly making sure that everyone was happy. She has such a vast wedding experience that she knew what would work on each of our different days and more importantly what would not. Also I must say that her knowledge of caterers in the industry is second to none. She only recommends suppliers who are on top of their game right now because she is very much aware that if these people don't perform then it will reflect badly on her. And she always has a smile on her face regardless of what wedding drama has unfolded. Now for all of you who are deciding whether to choose Bhav, I thought I'd give you a little example of her work: on our wedding day she arranged for a children's entertainer to come down and entertain the children whilst their parents ate. Now this in itself isn't new because many planners would have just got a magician to come down. However, the people Bhav chose for us completely transformed the room they were in by creating a children's activity centre, complete with toys to keep the children entertained for two hours; everyone loved them. I personally have never seen anything like this! Most importantly she booked them for a third off their normal rate. The thing that separates Bhav from the rest in her field is that she has an acute eye for detail and she works in such a seamless way that you don't even notice her presence until she has done what she has to do. One example of this (out of the thousands that I could have mentioned...) was during our wedding photos; a strong and unseasonal gust of wind blew my scarf out of position and whilst I was discussing something with the photographers, she was in, corrected the problem and was out before we finished the conversation. We all loved her for that because it helped us keep to time - for which I am eternally grateful.
