G & M Goold Funeral Directors, established by husband and wife Geoff and Mandy Goold, is located in Chester and has been serving local families since 2011.
Our team will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one.
We also offer Choice Funeral Plans which enable you to record your personal wishes and pay towards your funeral in advance, which could provide peace of mind to you and your family.

Sensitive and Proffesional
Dear Mr Goold, I am writing to thank you for the professional and tactful way which yourself and your colleagues dealt with the funeral of my father on 21st May 2014 at Chester crematorium. The death and subsequent funeral of a very close relative is one of the most difficult times in anyone's life. The arrangements and planning of a funeral are daunting however your company were extremely sensitive, helpful, and with attention to detail making Dad's cremation a fitting tribute to a great man. I wasn't there for the preparation, however my mum, sister and brother who we're making decisions were all full of praise at your sensitivity, organisation, and the thoughtful way arrangements were made. Every small detail had been considered and discussed. On the day, the funeral went without any hitches or unnecessary problems. All detail had been considered even down to reminding us to lock our windows, and use the loo. The journey to the crematorium was smooth and well driven. The service itself was conducted with dignity and respect with Dads eulogy read well by Martin Baldry a civil celebrant. The care shown to my mum and family was second to none. I would gladly recommend G & M Goold Independent Funeral Directors to anybody who needs to organise the funeral of a loved one. Thank you. Martyn Martin.

Trustworthy
Mr Goold said we could have the funeral wqe wanted, and this is what he gave to us. The situation was dealt with in a discreet and dignified manner. Professional service with attention to detail
We were extremely impressed by the way Geoff and Mandy handled things during what was a very traumatic time for us. They really listened to our needs and made it easier for us to make some difficult decisions. They went over and above our expectations and we would recommend them to anyone wanting a very personal and sensitive service.

Excellent personal service
I recently obtained an Independent Way Funeral Plan and was very impressed with the level of service and advice I received from Mandy and Geoff. I feel very secure that my wishes for my funeral are now in place and paid for,making things easier for my family.
