As an independent family funeral directors we have been part of the local community for 4 generations.
With our very caring, professional and highly motivated staff we offer those in need of assistance discretion and aim to give their loved ones and families the best service possible.

Our experienced and dedicated staff are available 24 hours a day to assist and advise you, whilst a member of the company can visit you in the privacy of your own home to discuss your wishes.

We offer bespoke funerals. Also pre-paid funeral plans with "Golden Charter". Covering the Street, Glastonbury, Wells and surrounding villages we offrer a great service with the upmost attention to detail.

Our Services

Details such as transport, choice of coffin, press notices, floral tributes and preparation of the deceased can be discussed at this point.

We will arrange for the transfer of the deceased from the place of death, to our premises.
We will arrange a date and time for the funeral service, in accordance to your requirements.
We will contact the Church or crematorium to arrange a suitable date and time.
We have a Chapel of Rest allowing you to view the deceased prior to the funeral, according to the family's wishes.
We will provide the necessary vehicles and staff to conduct the funeral.
We will handle all paperwork necessary to enable the burial or cremation to take place.
We can place a death notice in local or national newspapers.
We can arrange any music required for the funeral service.
We will arrange orders of service for the funeral service, should you require them.
We are happy to order floral tributes on your behalf.
We will accept donations for charity on your behalf, as well as provide you with a list of those who have donated to that charity.
We will advise and assist you with the registration of the death.

At G Holland and Son (Funeral Directors) Ltd, we are able to arrange for a horse drawn carriage for your loved one's final journey.
With a choice of carriages, horses and coloured plumes and drapes, there is something for everyone.

We are also able to supply a motorcycle hearse for those who request one. With a choice of motorbikes including a classic Triumph, a Suzuki Hayabusa and a Harley Davidson. Each motorcycle hearse has a sensitive and professionally trained rider.
