Worst service ever, time wasters and frauds - DO NOT GO NEAR THIS STORE!
I had a problem with the zoom button on my camera and so took it into this store and was told the job would take a week. I called a week later and they hadn't even looked at the camera yet. They never called to let me know how it was going and so I called again two weeks later and they said the camera was finally ready to be collected. When I went in the guys in the shop told me they had fixed the problem by changing the top part of the camera and it seemed to be working perfectly again, until I put the memory card back in later that day and I realised that the camera wasn't recognizing it. It puzzled me why this could be... I went back to the shop another day and the guys working there weren't happy to see me. I told them about the problem with my memory card not being recognised and asked why this could be...I had spent good money on getting high storage memory sticks and I was frustrated at the thought of not being able to use them in my camera again. They were very defensive and rude when I asked them if they could help me understand why they were no longer working in my camera. Their response was that it was my fault because I was using the wrong memory card, because according to them a Sony Memory Stick is not compatible for my Sony camera!!!? really? I'm not an idiot. This automatically made me suspicious. My camera is a Sony DSC-HX5. I don't know how common this camera is but they had another identical one on display in the shop and they started fiddling around with the display one, barking at me and telling me that this camera wasn't recognising my memory card either. I asked if I could try it myself - they reluctantly handed me the camera and BOOM! I immediately realised THE CAMERA THEY HAD ON DISPLAY WAS MY CAMERA!!!!!! The moment I put my memory card in it all my photos displayed and the zoom button on it was as faulty as it was three weeks ago. I was outraged that they could be so deceitful and rude, and thought they could switch the cameras and pretend they had earned their money. When I confronted them they were incredibly rude and unapologetic. I was fuming! How could anyone deny what was going on and think they could blame it on me?!? All I wanted was my camera to work again. We had a massive argument in the shop and when I requested my money back, one of the guys was so offended I had said that he had done a rubbish job, in fact no job at all, that he said he wouldn't reimburse me. After some words I was finally given me money back and I left the shop with my camera, still with the faulty zoom button, and three weeks and a lot of tube journeys wasted. Luckily I have my camera and money back, but I can't help but think what if I was someone less astute about technical stuff, less confident in standing up to them, or a tourist passing through London that would have never been able to get to the truth. Avoid this shop and take your camera to a reputable repair shop/company! I've never encountered such fraudulent and rude behaviour from a shop.

Honest and great customer service
I have been using Gill as my computer/laptop engineer for around 10 years now. And he has always been up to date with his knowledge and efficient. He has a straight to the point but friendly attitude. I never feel I am being ripped off and only pay for what needs to be done. His co-workers also fix things like cameras, camcorders, TV's, DJ stuff, ipod's. But they have now moved to ASK Electronics, 1st floor now on Tottenham court road.
