At Gerry Sykes our roman blinds are constructed using beautiful hand stitching around the outside and discrete stab-stitches on the face of the blind. Each blind uses metal eyelets and metal rods to ensure the perfect hang and weight of the blind. The only machine stitching that you will find on our blinds are used to attach Velcro* and to make the pockets on the lining that is made from one continuous piece of sateen or blackout lining. If you are buying a hand-made Roman Blind always insist it is made using hand stitching. Machine stiching is unsightly and decreases the black-out rating of the blind. Gerry Sykes only use hand stiching.
