I bought it already abroad
I was thinking of buying travel insurance but then preparations got indeed difficult and I simply forgot about the insurance. Only when I was in Portugal exciting to try rafting, I called Globelink and arranged the policy to be covered for that. And it worked. Very convenient service.

Comprehensive indeed
We bought comprehensive travel insurance from Globelink because it covers what we need for a moderate price and we didn't have to add more and thus pay more.

A bit expensive
I saw the review of Globelink in one of the Lonely Planet discussions and checked what they offer. Prices are higher than I expected from such small company but maybe that proves they reliable. Plan on buying my next policy with them.

Poor basic options
What they offer as a basic was not enough for me and as I added all extras the total sum was beyond my wallet.

I've only bought one policy and it was easy. They offer standard options but you can add whatever you want and see the final price immediately. I've added excess waiver and cancellation extras so now my policy suits me perfectly.

Globelink insures seniors
And that's what I find great. My husband Ben and I are both 72 and we've just bought an insurance for nearly 120 euros and it includes everything we need (e.g. money and documents cover because I often lose such things).

Better than others

Hidden costs
The policies prices seem very low but when you look closer you see why. Yes, they cover the basics but when I added a couple of extras like excess waiver and paragliding cover the price increased a lot. So you should think twice and read everything carefully before purchasing.

Affordable policies
At fist I couldn't believe that a travel insurance policy may cost €24 and cover airline failure, packaging protection, travel delay and many more options for 8 days! Then I bough it and made sure it was true. Now I feel safer while travelling.

I've been paid out twice
I travel much especially on business issues and I need to be covered all the time. I buy multi-trip policy from Globelink and it suits me well. Almost all trips were fine but there were two times when I needed to claim and they compensated me the spending. Good company.

Fine for me
I chose this foreign company over the local ones because my friends living in the UK have been their clients for years making claims and receiving the compensation. I also read some positive reviews and that convinced me a little more. I've purchased two policies so far and I am quite satisfied.

Ordinary
I suppose, a good company should be well-known to be trusted. I've never heard of Globelink before and their low prices for travel insurance policies seem suspicious.

Provides good impression
I chose Globelink because buying their travel insurance policy takes up to 10 minutes. I just filled a couple of fast navigating forms and got my documents that very same day. Everything is clear and easy.

Fine policy features
My annual multi-trip cost about 80 pounds (I paid extra 12 to remove excess waiver). I assume that is a low price for a policy with all that features listed. Plus, there's a good chance to compare the policies since they are shown together so you can see what suits your priorities best.

Good insurance for your gap year
Before my big trip to the U.S. I wanted to purchase a decent cover. When I go abroad for a week or so I usually don't bother and just follow common sense rules not to get in trouble. But leaving for one year was serious so I chose Globelink comprehensive policy. I had the flu two times and nothing more serious, thanks God. Globelink turned out to be reliable and trustworthy insurer so I would recommend it for people going away for long.

Great for expats
I am an expat living in Spain. When I tried to arrange vacation insurance with local companies I found that their quotes were outrageously enormous. I was almost desperate when I read about Globelink on an expat forum. I was delighted to find that Globelink provides policies at the same price for all EU residents. I was also impressed with the easiness of the process of buying insurance; I had my policy printed within 5 minutes!
