Restaurant - Italian in Harpenden

The pizzas for the kids are fine but that's as far as it goes. The food is generally undercooked with little flavour and certainly no Italian flair. The chef is rude and does nothing to make the restaurant friendly. There is nothing on the menu that you wouldn't find at your average Italian chain restaurant. The fish are the only interesting aspect to the decor.

Grafitti is a unique Italian restaurant in Harpenden - it is certainly not pretentious, serving well priced and well cooked food in a friendly environment. Probably not a place you'd take a date out to impress, but certainly good place to go with a set of mates, or as a family. The food offered is largely as you would expect from an Italian (for example, they do an excellent Canelloni or Lazagna), along with some good twists on traditional favourites (such as the Machiavelli pizza with pear!) and they have a good selection of starters (their garlic or focaccia breads are both good options for sharing). As a bonus for children, or those who still want to be children, you can draw on the paper table cloth with the provided crayons - and if you picture makes the grade it gets stuck on the wall for all to see! They also have a fish tank with tropical fish - always seems popular with younger guests (who love the Finding Nemo style clown fish).
