About the BID

Hinckley BID (or Hinckley Business Improvement District) is one of nearly 200 BID's across the UK. A Business Improvement District is designed to deliver projects and services in support of the local business community and to help improve their trading environment.

The Hinckley BID wants the local community to be proud of their town centre, support their local businesses and take part and enjoy family focused town centre events such as our Pancake Race, Soap Box Derby and Classic Vehicle Show.

Hinckley Town Centre is the heart of our community and it's businesses rely on you, their local customers, to ensure their long term survival. You can show your support for your local businesses by joining our FREE Loyalty Card Scheme and by making a conscious decision to look locally first for your goods and services. Joining the scheme will also ensure you keep up to date with all the latest town centre business offers and town centre events.

Hinckley Market

Hinckley Market was first recorded in 1311, but it almost certainly existed before then. The markets have played an important role in the town ever since, helping to give Hinckley it's own character and charm.

Located in the heart of Hinckley Town Centre the markets take place three times weekly, on Monday, Friday and Saturday. They often attract up to 80 stalls that offer a range of foods, clothes, jewellery, magazines, electrical items and fabrics.

Health & Beauty

Hinckley Town Centre is pleased to offer a wide range of hair and beauty salons, nail bars, barbers and treatment salons. If you need to look your best for that big occasion or simply just want to be pampered for the day, Hinckley is the ideal place to be.

Food Drink & Entertainment

Whether you enjoy traditional pub grub or a taste of something a little more exotic, Hinckley has a diverse food and drink offering. Within the town centre you will find culinary delights from across the globe including Indian, Chinese, Thai, Nepalese, and Italian cuisine and great modern British food. If you are on the move or limited for time, why not take advantage of our wide selection of town centre cafes, sandwich bars and take-away restaurants. Hinckley's town centre has a pedestrianised main street (Castle Street) with a diverse mix of independent stores and national retail outlets. Like many surrounding villages, the town centre is designated as a Conservation area. Many of our businesses are family run and have been trading in Hinckley for generations. You will find their level of customer service and friendly banter a breath of fresh air! Within our compact, user-friendly town centre can be found everything you might wish for in a great shopping experience from traditional greengrocers and butchers through to high end fashion boutiques and stores.
