The school has been established for over 20 years and has taught hundreds of people how to drive, many of whom had been told, they would not pass the test. From novice to advanced courses you will receive professional training helping you to deal with the demands of todays busy roads. We aim to teach you to the highest standard in the shortest time possible for you. We are a member of DIA and MSA. The school abides by a code of conduct in line with the regulations. We are a D.S.A. Approved Driving Instructor and as of December 2009 now a D.S.A. Registered Fleet Driver Trainer and QCF A1 Assessor. * EXCLUSIVE * NEW * ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION * Don't just learn to drive: Gain a Recognised Qualification. You can gain a BTEC Level 2 Award: Demonstrate Safe Driving (Car Driver) The course is covered over normal driving lessons. More information can be found at www.anydriver.co.uk/index.php?id=1 if you have not already done so, join me on facebook where the latest news, tips, updates are posted to assist you or your friends in passing the theory and practical tests. Feel free to get your friends to join as they can use posts. e.g. nothing stopping them using referral code to get cheaper car insurance. friends can NOW do BTEC Award even if i have not taught them. I feel this certificate will help pupils get jobs as recent legislation (http://www.corporate-manslaughter-act) has made employers more responsible for their drivers and this certificate is a step in the right direction. For some pupils the 5 BTEC points could make a big impact in their choice of university. With recent high increases in car insurance this course could be the difference between getting a car or not after passing as this course has guaranteed insurance discounts. If you or a friend wish more information or wish to enrol, email me with your questions. short notice cancellations

SHORT NOTICE CANCELLATIONS

Due to demand your instructor has a waiting list and you should understand that they are giving up their time to accommodate what suits you when you book your lesson, so it is unfair that they should be dropped at the last minute because you decide to change your plans. Please be aware that like you, they too have a living to earn and bills to pay.

Students may cancel lessons with a range of excuses such as forgot, I got the chance of overtime at work, œI had an interview, œI had a dental appointment. œthe kids were sick, and others.

We are sure that you would think it unjust if you arrived at work to be told by your boss that you weren required that day and wouldn'™t be paid for it. This is basically what is happening to the instructor when you cancel at short notice or simply don'™t turn up for your lesson.

It is understood that if you cancel a lesson with less than 2 clear days notice you will still have to pay the full lesson fee. Your instructor will be unable to fill your space with someone else with this amount of notice. If you cancel with less than 5 days notice you will have to pay half of the lesson fee. Regardless of reasons for cancellation this will be enforced.

We thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Yours In Safe Driving,

BTEC Level 2 Award

This Unique programme is completed whilst you learn to drive and is gained by providing evidence of your Driving Competences including completion of a BTEC workbook. This allows a fully structured approach to each lesson and ultimately you will gain a professional qualification that may have real significance to employers and certain insurers alike. How does it work? The programme is made up of a number of specific modules which you will taught and assessed on by myself to BTEC level 2 standard. BTEC Level 2 Award: Demonstrate Safe Driving. To gain the BTEC level 2: Award : Demonstrate Safe Driving - you must comply with the following qualifying process: A) Pass the DSA theory & Hazard Perception Test B) Pass the DSA Practical Driving Test C) Demonstrate competence on a Motorway D) Demonstrate competence in the following Standards:Ensure the safety of people Give Consideration to other road users Maintain appropriate speed, position and control Carry out require manoeuvres Ensure the safety of people You will be required to ensure the safety of passengers and yourself is maintained whilst demonstrating driving the vehicle. This will require you to carry out safety checks before you start and during the demonstration; including doors being securely, mirrors correctly adjusted, seat position correct, safety belts worn correctly, the general vision through windows, the vehicle lights and head restraints were fitted. You should be able to take appropriate action to remedy any hazards to individual safety. Give consideration to other road users You will be required to give consideration to other road users, both through your own driving manner and responding to theirs. You should be able to anticipate and respond to the actions of other road users in a manner that is safe and courteous. You should also not do anything to cause actual or potential risk to other road users. This includes giving sufficient indication, when necessary, of your intention to change direction or position. To give consideration to other road users, you will need to understand how the driving manner affects other road users. Maintain appropriate speed, position and control You will be required to maintain control of your vehicle's speed and position according to the environmental, road and traffic conditions. The position of your vehicle should take account of road and lane conventions and you should indicate your intentions to change position or direction. Road signs and other relevant information should be used to maintain appropriate speed and position. Whilst maintaining speed and position, you should be able to optimise fuel consumption with your driving manner. You should also drive your vehicle in a manner that minimises wear and tear, as well as reduce the risk of accidental damage. Carry out required manoeuvres You will be required to drive and control your vehicle through a number of specified manoeuvres, which may include, parking, negotiating junctions and roundabouts, turning the vehicle around, reversing, reversing around corners, reverse parking, emergency stops and driving slowly. Before carrying out any manoeuvres, you should ensure the location meets relevant legal, regulatory and safety requirements, whilst also not causing unnecessary inconvenience to others. During manoeuvres, you should give consideration to other road users and respond to their anticipated actions. So how much does it cost? As the BTEC runs alongside your driving lessons there is an additional charge of £39.95 to cover the administration costs, You will also need to complete the 2 hour Motorway session after you have passed your driving test as without doing this you will not have completed the course.

Took up my lessons while I was at University and the flexibility of pick up points and drop off points was great. Very informative and patient with me so I enjoyed my lessons. All in all, great service and prices.

I was very nervous about starting to drive and glad I chose In-Gear. I was able to go at my own pace 'pun intended' and was taken through step by step by my instructor. I was given the confidence and skills I needed and enjoyed my lessons.

I passed in my own time with great understanding from my instructor. I needed an instructor with patience and an ability to focus on my weak points in order to progress. Excellent service I would recommend to anyone!
