Set in the heart of beautiful Ribblesdale, just a mile from the market town of Settle, is the picturesque village of Giggleswick. Our lovely, family-owned Yorkshire Dales cottage sleeps six comfortably in three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), and offers an ideal location for a getaway, whatever the time of year.
Ivy Cottage has been a part of our family for almost three decades. We've fitted it to a very high standard to make it as cosy and comfortable as possible. So you'll find the Villeroy & Bosch bathroom has a bath and separate shower, and the antique pine dining kitchen is bright and spacious with an impressive range of equipment. There are flat screen TVs in the lounge and kitchen, internet access and an iPod dock. In the summer months you can also relax in the patio, where there's a south-facing garden seat.
There are walks from the door and the village has an historic church and two pubs serving food. There's also a Booths supermarket, swimming pool and golf course nearby.
The Three Peaks - Ingleborough, Penyghent and Whernside - dominate the Ribblesdale skyline. The Settle to Carlise Railway, Ribblehead Viaduct, Whitescar Caves and the Ingleton Waterfalls Walks are all close by, and Skipton, with its castle, pubs and restaurants, is within easy driving distance.
For those who prefer to leave the car at home, the bus to Skipton terminates across the road.
