My brothers and I were born and grew up at 46 Richmond Wood Road. My father, Bill Barclay was a Scottish piper, a painter and decorator by trade - but he LOVED wood. He had a lathe and all the tools and yards of yards of wood in that garage down the back - no car ever came near to going in there! He passed away in 2002 but would be so happy that a timber merchant is now living there! Look out! I am coming home (from Australia) in late April and have always wanted to knock on the door! Might just do it this time! xxxx
