Been to Jongleurs a few times for various things and it is a decent night out. It is ironically based on the site of the old Apollo in Glasgow where many comedians died on stage! Based below the cimema and Walkabout. It can be expensive to get in- £15 or so, but your getting entertainment for that price so is not too bad compared to say Cinema and a club. Much depends on the quality of the acts. In the times I went there always is one comedian that seems to let the side down a bit by not being as good as the others! It is worth mentioning that heckling is prohibited (which annoys the true Glaswegians) and people do get thrown out for it and talking through the show. When we went as a group of lads we were warned twice before we got in not to talk or heckle and they are strict. Actually some of the comedians want audience participation, and sometimes the audiences silence (as they are unsure on what to do) can be unnerving for the act! As you are not allowed to get drinks whist acts are on, you have to buy them before the show starts, this is disorganised and is a rabble. It took me 10 mins to get to the bar never mind the wait before then, and people did get a bit abusive if they felt they were first. Since my first visit they push table service of drinks more which is an altogether better idea. The food and drinks aren't cheap however. After the acts finish it turns into standard bar an nightclub, and it is a decent night out.Get a good act and you'll enjoy it.

Jongleurs is a brilliant venue for comedy in glasgow. They regularly have big names, for example jimmy carr was on a few weeks ago, and the prices are fair for what you get. Also situated near the cinema, in case you have some time to kill before the show. Never usually a queue outside, so you should have no problems getting in. Go when the magners comedy festival is on, they have alot more big name stars, and in general more shows on. Also theres just a general bar next door incase you don't get in. The drinks in jongleurs are affordable, and not overpriced.

Glasgows number one comedy club. It is situated just beside the large UGC cinema, so it is not the hardest venue to find. It hosts a range of comedy and stand up acts every night from local talent to more well known comedians. Prices can be quite expensive on the door but it generally buys you 3 or 4 hours solid entertainment. The choices of food and drink are reasonable but expensive. However, despite the price it offers a night out that is a much different experience to a standard pub or nightclub. A lot of fun and not for the easily offended, but recommended highly.

Ended up going to Jongleurs one evening when we were struggling to find something to entertain us. I am so glad we did. We had a brilliant time, I spent the best part of 3 hours in tears, saw about 4 acts, each one funnier than the last. Highly recommeded for a night out. Then after the show, it turns into a disco! weird!!
