Kreative Word Translations and SEO Content Writing

My love of languages and the written word led me to studying German and English and I qualified as a translator with the German Chamber of Commerce in Berlin (then West-Berlin).

After moving to London in the mid 1980s, I worked in various companies in the City of London until I set out as a freelance translator.

I worked as a translator for the rock magazine Metal Hammer and translated video subtitles for a variety of feature films and commercial videos for Screentext International in London.

After moving to Ireland in the late 1990s, I concentrated on my IT skills and became proficient with various Microsoft Office applications and operating systems and gained a working knowledge of web design packages, such as Dreamweaver. I also set up several small websites.

I was responsible for the design, administration and marketing of a small family business and also gained experience in technical support for mobile devices in English as well as German.

After returning to the UK in 2012, I worked for Black Cat Music in Kent. I translated the company's website into German and assisted with their marketing and content writing.

From 2013, I concentrated on freelance translations and (SEO) web content writing for a variety of companies and commercial sectors. I also gained a deeper understanding of social media and their importance in commerce.
