LPC Furniture - About Us

We are far from an ‘internet only' business and pride our selves in keeping our bricks and mortar stores. Our staff have many years experience guiding customers through the furniture industry and resolving any issues that we come across. You are more than welcome to contact us by email or phone and we are always happy to see customers come through our doors and take a good look at the quality of the furniture we supply.

Our staff will never pressure you into a sale and we believe that when buying furniture for your home it is up to you want you want and not what items will get them the most commission! The team is purely there to give you unbiased advice you need to make the right choice from us. As an independent, we are not bound by some distant head office that tell us what we can and cannot sell, instead we can provide pine and oak furniture that provides the best quality and value for money.

All of our pine ranges are hand crafted in the UK, and hand finished, with a stain and wax, on the premises by our experienced team of finishers many of which hold Level 3 NVQ's in furniture finishing. We are proud to say they achieved these qualifications during their time with us.

We manufacture all of our pine and painted furniture in the UK because we believe if we can, we should. All of our staff are locally produced – many have been with LPC for over 10 years. Where possible we use local businesses to help with the running of the business (e.g printers, sign writers etc). This helps keep as much money and employment in the local area as possible; when many of the national furniture companies are foreign owned, we believe this is more important than ever, we certainly sleep better at night!

LPC Furniture - Environmental Sustainability

From an environmental stand point, all the pine timber we use and any oak that is used for our bespoke furniture that is hand crafted in the UK is fully FSC approved. Imported furniture using oak timber is from managed forestry in North America and is very well regulated. We also personally visit the workshops used to ensure they meet the standards in terms of pay and conditions that we can be comfortable with.

We undertake commissions for bespoke furniture from a wide range of clients from across Lancashire. Some have a detailed sketch with measurements, and just need our assurance they're in safe hands, and some needed a consultation with us to advise them on the best route to suit your needs. Listening to your requirements, and taking the time to get to know you is extremely important to us. After all, what's right for one person, we know, won't be right for another, so we'll happily take the time to build strong trust and assurance and making sure we're all on the same wavelength.
