Lamplighters Gallery was established in 1993 in Ainsdale village; moving to its current site on Liverpool Ave in 1996. The aim was to supply quality lighting products from around the world. However the most important aspect of the business was to ensure that the range of lighting was backed up by a sound practical and technical knowledge to ensure that the customer bought exactly the correct product for their requirements.
So much has changed since 1993. By far the biggest revolution in retailing has been the creation and development of Internet sales and the subsequent demise of the High st. So why are we still here?
At Lamplighters we still regard product knowledge and technical know how to be essential when choosing lighting.
Too high: Too low: Too big: Too small. Incandescent: compact fluorescent: LED:- All questions that need to be answered and impossible to answer on an I pad.
To help solve this problem we offer a "home visit" so that we can advise on light levels; fitting sizes colours etc., and of course we have a full fitting service available to ensure that your fittings are installed correctly and safely.
