Lauren Jardine is a friendly, professional, registered osteopath and Clinical Pilates instructor who combines these skills to provide you with long term pain relief and management. As well as hands on Osteopathy, Lauren will also advise you of exercises, stretches and other lifestyle tips, giving you all the tools you need to manage your pain now and in the future. She works in clinics in Wallington and Coulsdon, Surrey as well as providing mobile services, where you can be treated in the comfort of your own home.
Having been inspired by her own treatment at the hands of an osteopath, Lauren truly understands what it is like to be in pain - the frustration, the disappointment and the inconvenience of not being able to move in a pain free, easy way. Lauren went on to study Osteopathy at Oxford Brookes University and graduated with a Masters degree in Osteopathy in 2012. During her time here, she completed a research project on breathing disorders and lower back pain and treated many patients with various complex conditions and medical histories. Lauren completes continued professional development yearly and has attended conferences on a number of topics including First Aid and Clinical Emergencies, Hypermobility and Performing Arts, Advances in Spinal Surgery and Clinical Pilates. Although she treats all types of patients, Lauren specialises in treating people from a sporting or performing arts background as well as pregnant and post natal women.
As well as leading her into studying to become an osteopath, her experience with injury also prompted her to train in Clinical Pilates. Acute pain from injury may be relatively short lived but without proper rehabilitation, they are more likely to recur and become chronic. Lauren uses Clinical Pilates skills and further training in exercise prescription to ensure that your body becomes stronger, more efficient and more resistant to injury. You'll find long term management of your pain, having made adjustments to your lifestyle and movements.
