About Sifu James

I began training Wing Chun at the age of 13 with my Sifu Jens Thinnesen. From the very first day in his class, I felt comfortable and welcomed. When I first met Sifu Jens, I was doing a different martial art in another club but I always felt like there was something missing. I went to Sifu’s class looking for a martial art skill that was simple and direct and that used minimal energy and force to deal with an attacker.

Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu

Wing Chun is one of the most popular and effective forms of Kung Fu. This popularity is due to the teaching of late Great Grandmaster Ip Man who bought the skill from China to Hong Kong and from there it has spread all over the world. Great Grandmaster Ip Man's most famous student was the legendary Bruce Lee. Since Great Grandmaster Ip Man passed away his eldest son Grandmaster Ip Chun has taken over his father role. He has spent many years teaching all over the world. Even though he is now 85 year old his skill is unsurpassed. This skill was passed on to Master Michael Tse, who is Grandmaster Ip Chun's most senior student teaching in Europe. Master Tse has been working tirelessly to promote and spread the genuine Wing Chun skill as taught to him by his teacher.
